In their new home label at Avex, they have finally found an exceptional songwriting team that is capable of not only meeting Maina's talent, but also pushing her to new boundaries.

As Keyakizaka46 settle into the "cool idol" image, one would expect them to release more serious songs, but that appears to be the contrary. In fact, this song captures quite well the duality of the group in being not only a pioneer in new melodies, but preserving the "choral" sound of idol music.
3位 Lighthouse / sora tob sakana :2pts.
Despite the move to a major record label, sora tob sakana remain true to its unique math rock melodies. Members' vocals have become smoother and more refined as a sign that the group's sound is maturing.
4位 ルミナス / Shine Fine Movement :1.5pts.
As the newest member of Nippon Columbia's Label The Garden family, Shine Fine Movement introduce a clarity in sound that was not present in their sister groups. The clean vocals present a luminous image as the song's title suggests.
5位 君のAchoo! / シュークリームロケッツ :1pts.
Despite the silliness of this song, it's catchy enough to make the Last Idol family of idol groups recognizable. Before you know it, the tune might already be stuck in your head despite a play at innocence.

1位 東京少女 / Fullfull☆Pocket :3pts.
Faced with the graduation of two members, Fullfull☆Pocket have produced what is arguably one of the best tribute songs to the emotions of a girl who is ready to explore the bigger world but at the same time is too young to be relieved of all the anxieties of adulthood.
2位 銀河列車 / 転校少女歌撃団 :2.5pts.
Tenkou Shoujo Kagekidan and their successor Tenkou Shoujo* are quite underrated as far as vocals go. B-side songs typically don't get much attention, but this one is far superior compared to the single's A-side song in terms of power and emotion.
3位 TOKYO WONDER GIRL / つりビット :2pts.
A fine addition to Tsuri Bit's repertoire of city pop tunes. Even with the departure of their producer, this song serves as a reminder of the type of melodies that make the group stand out among other pop and rock groups.
4位 Jubilee / amiinA :1.5pts.
amiinA successfully release another song that makes audiences want to chant along. Experiencing this song in a live performance enhances the song much more compared to a studio recording. One always wonders how the two members are able to still produce such stable vocals with the amount of energy put into the performance.
5位 スノウメモリー / 26時のマスカレイド :1pts.
This simple ballad might be forgettable if not for a chorus with a unique melody. 26-ji no Masquerade's members' vocal styles are quite varied, but they all convey the same melancholic emotion, making it easier to become absorbed in the song's aura.

With their breakout debut album, Masshiro na Canvas prove that idol rock is not yet out of fashion. Mixing rock with electronic music has allowed the group to create their own blank canvas with which to carve a new path in idol music.
2位 『MIRRORS』 / ヤなことそっとミュート :2pts.
Once again, Yanakoto Sotto Mute create a release that can be easily mistaken for a grunge rock album. No other group has been able to reproduce their sound, which makes Yanakoto Sotto Mute still one of the best rock idols.
3位 『青春の音符たち ～Respect for 80's & 90's』 / ハコイリ♡ムスメ :1pts.
While groups continue to push boundaries with new sounds, Hakoiri♡Musume prove that covering classic idol tunes still carry an aura unlike any other.

Entering their 5th year as a group which has not made any line-up changes, Tsuri Bit continues to project stability even with them being destined to disband in 2019. Good management at the hands of a capable office and label is the hope of any idol fan, and fans will forever be grateful such a group existed.
